DeKalb is under a heat advisory until Sunday evening. With temperatures ranging from the mid to upper 90s, residents are advised to stay hydrated, and know the signs of heat stroke. Please check on your neighbors and friends, particularly those who are elderly, or have a preexisting health condition that the heat might exacerbate.
Hope Haven (1145 Rushmoore Drive) serves as a community cooling center during heat emergencies, as does the DeKalb Public Library during its hours of operation.
Be safe!
